Web End User License Agreement

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using the font files provided by Local Type Co. (the “Font Software”), you agree to the terms of this End User License Agreement (“Agreement”).

1. License Grant
Local Type Co. grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Font Software on websites owned or controlled by the licensed brand or company, subject to the monthly pageview limit specified in your purchase.

The license itself may not be transferred to another person, brand, company, or entity.

2. Pageviews
This Web License is based on the combined number of monthly pageviews across all websites on which the Font Software is used under this license.

If the combined monthly pageviews regularly exceed the tier covered by your license, you must obtain the appropriate license extension. For usage exceeding the highest available tier, please contact Local Type Co. for a custom license.

Temporary or exceptional traffic spikes do not require an immediate license upgrade.

3. Websites and Domains
A Web License may cover multiple websites, domains, and subdomains owned or controlled by the same licensed brand or company. There is no additional fee based solely on the number of websites or domains.

Websites belonging to separate brands, clients, companies, or other legal entities require separate Web Licenses.

4. Client Work
Designers, studios, agencies, and other service providers may purchase a Web License on behalf of a client.

If the Font Software is used on a client’s website, the Web License must identify and cover that client or brand as the licensee.

5. Permitted Uses
You may use the Font Software as a webfont to display text on websites covered by this license.

The Font Software may be served using standard webfont technologies such as @font-face.

6. Hosting and Font Files
The Font Software may be self-hosted on servers used to operate the licensed websites.

Reasonable technical measures must be taken to prevent direct access to or unauthorized distribution of the Font Software.

The Font Software may not be made available for download or distributed independently from the licensed websites.

7. Other Uses
This Web License does not permit use of the Font Software in mobile applications, desktop applications, software, games, editable templates, server-based design tools, or services that allow users to create or customize content using the Font Software.

These uses require the appropriate Desktop, App, Server, or other applicable license.

8. Modifications
You may not modify, reverse engineer, rename, convert, adapt, or create derivative font software from the Font Software without written permission from Local Type Co. Reasonable technical conversion or subsetting required solely for permitted webfont use is allowed, provided that it does not create a separately distributed or independently usable font.

9. Font Files
You may make reasonable backup copies of the Font Software for archival purposes.

You may not sell, sublicense, distribute, share, rent, lend, give away, or otherwise make the Font Software available to another party except as expressly permitted by this Agreement.

10. Ownership
The Font Software and the designs embodied in it remain the intellectual property of Local Type Co.

Purchasing a license grants you specific rights to use the Font Software; it does not transfer ownership of the Font Software or its intellectual property rights.

11. Termination
This license remains valid unless you breach its terms. If this Agreement is terminated because of a breach, you must stop using the Font Software and delete all copies in your possession or control.

12. Warranty and Liability
The Font Software is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Local Type Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from its use.

13. Other Uses
Uses not covered by this Agreement may require an additional license. Contact Local Type Co. if you are unsure whether your intended use is covered.
